POLICE OFFICER OF THE YEAR
Officer Jeffrey Klein
Officer Jeffrey Klein joined the Juno Beach Police Department in April of 2021. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the Florida State University.
Officer Klein is highly motivated with great work ethics and is a perfect fit with the Juno Beach Police Department’s mission to partner with the community and improve the overall quality of life in Juno Beach.
In 2022 Officer Klein led the department in overall activities which include traffic stops, citations and warnings issued as well as arrests. He has also volunteered to be a department trainer in high liability areas such as firearms, first-aid, and defensive tactics.
Officer Klein’s professionalism is a fine example of what an Officer with the Juno Beach Police Department represents. His efforts are greatly appreciated by the agency, the command staff, his fellow officers and the community of Juno Beach.

SUPERVISOR OF THE YEAR
Sergeant John Kenny
Sergeant John Kenny joined the Juno Beach Police Department as a police officer in November of 2021. He came to us with over eleven years of law enforcement experience with the New York City Police Department where he achieved the rank of Sergeant.
As a member of the Juno Beach Police Department, John quickly showed his leadership abilities, his great work ethic, and a professional demeanor and was promoted to Sergeant in August of 2022. Sergeant Kenny is the patrol supervisor for squad B.
His squad consistently leads the department in both arrests and traffic stop. In addition, to his everyday assigned duties, Sergeant Kenny consitently engages the command staff with ideas and suggestions to improve the overall functions of the agency.

MERITORIOUS SERVICE AWARD
Detective Ryan Hoffmann
Detective Ryan Hoffmann began working with the Juno Beach Pollce Department in January of 2021, coming to Juno Beach with 10 years of law enforcement experience from the New York City Police Department where he was assigned as a detective to a precinct squad.
Detective Hoffmann has an accomplished background, with many years of experience as both a patrol officer and in investigations.
In October of 2021, Officer Hoffmann was appointed to the rank of Detective where he is currently assigned. Detective Hoffmann has a very demanding job but manages his workload with the highest level of professionalism.
Ryan’s keen investlgative skills and tenacity in two fraud cases led to the identification of two subjects who conned two victims of a total of $109,500 in monies. After multiple meetings with the State Attorney’s office, the victims, and the suspects he was able to have all the monies returned to the two victims.
Detectlve Hoffmann has obtained confessions that have led to multiple arrests of the subjects on several cases such as retail theft, leaving the scene with property damage, a juvenile molestation case and a contractor fraud cases.
His actions exemplify the professionalism and dedication which is expected from every member of the Juno Beach Police Department.

CIVILIAN OF THE YEAR
Jennifer Cote
Jennifer Cote has been a member of the Juno Beach Police Department since 2009.
Right from the beginning it was obvious that Jennifer was an intelligent and self-motivated employee with a great attitude. She is deeply respected by other members of the Juno Beach Police Department, and they all know they can rely on her help when needed.
Jenn’s can-do attitude and meticulous work ethic have resulted in many successful outcomes for the department. She is responsible for many aspects of administration including records, audits, liaison with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), weekly activity preparation, and more.
Over the past year Jennifer has been a tremendous help in orientating a new civilian employee assigned to the Department.

VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR
James Lyons
Jim Lyons, a long time resident of the Town, has been a volunteer with the Juno Beach Police Department since 2022.
Jim previously served the Town of Juno Beach as a member of the Planning and Zoning Board, as a member of Town Council, as Vice Mayor, and Mayor.
Jim does a great job with his assigned police duties and is a great spokesman for the Juno Beach Police Department.
Jim‘s dedication and commitment to both the police department and the Juno Beach community is greatly appreciated.
