The week that includes May 15th each year has been declared, as long ago as 1962 when President Kennedy signed the bill into law, as a time to pay tribute to the local, state, and federal peace officers who have died, or who have been disabled, in the line of duty.
In 2018, 163 federal, state and local law enforcement officers died in the line of duty, 14 of them in the State of Florida.
The Juno Beach Police Foundation, as a small tribute of our appreciation to the men and women of the Juno Beach Police Department, will provide lunch for the members of the Department on both Monday, May 13th and Wednesday, May 15th.
We truly appreciate their dedication and ask that our residents, business owners and visitors express their appreciation and say “thank you” to the men and women of the Juno Beach Police Department who are out there daily protecting our community.
